Segway originally unveiled the Xafari electric bike at CES 2025 alongside the moto-styled Segway Xyber. Now, the micromobility giant has introduced a new Crimson Red colorway for its high-performance Xafari electric bike. The new version of the Xafari features the same hardware as the original Xafari, though. In fact, it retains the same pricing as the original model.
To be specific, the Segway Xafari in Crimson Red has an MSRP of $2,399.99, though early bird offer pricing drops it to $1,999.99. Customers can purchase the e-bike directly from Segway’s online store and other authorized dealers.
The new release is powered by a 750 W rear hub motor with 80 Nm torque and 12 assistance modes that delivers a top speed of 20 mph (~32 kph). Segway has incorporated a massive 936 Wh IPX7-rated battery paired with a smart battery management system (BMS). According to the company, the e-bike offers up to 88 miles (142 km) of range on a single charge. Furthermore, there’s a handlebar-mounted display, which shows essential driving information like speed, battery level, and assistance mode.
The Xafari is equipped with 26 x 3-inch Kenda tires complemented by Tektro hydraulic disk brakes and front and rear suspension with 80 mm and 70 mm wheel travel. Moreover, the e-bike also has Segway Ninebot app support, which further allows the rider to tweak the vehicle’s settings, check battery level and remaining range, and record ride data. Other features include Apple Find My to track the location of the e-bike, a front headlight with 1,300 lumens of brightness, an IPX5 water resistance rating, GPS support, and AirLock tech. The e-bike weighs 92.5 lbs (42 kg) and can handle payloads of up to 352 lbs (160 kg).
