The Dutch high-end cargo e-bike manufacturer, Urban Arrow, has unveiled its newest model in the existing FamilyNext lineup, the FamilyNext Pro, in North America. The company’s latest family-focused e-bike brings decent upgrades over the original model. To be more precise, the e-bike now comes with an upgraded integrated Suntour Mobile 34 CGO Boost front suspension fork and according to the company, it offers smoother rides and fewer rattles when you hit bumpy roads.
The build quality of the e-bike is now better than before. The vehicle now features a new box design reinforced with an EPP foam box—the same material used in helmets—which further enhances the ebike’s durability and increases stability. With a sturdy build, it can handle payloads of up to 550 lb (250 g) and a front box that can carry up to 275 lb (125 kg).
Under the hood, the Urban Arrow FamilyNext Pro e-bike is powered by a Bosch Cargo Line Smart System motor that offers 85 Nm torque and Class 1 pedal assist up to 20 mph (32 kph). Urban Arrow’s family-focused electric bike offers up to 31 miles (50 km) of range, thanks to a 545 Wh battery.
Furthermore, Urban Arrow also packs smart system connectivity like auto and cargo modes for adaptive support on hills with headwinds or heavy loads. Additionally, it features box-integrated LED lights, a higher backrest, a one-handed seatbelt closing system, and Magura brakes. Needless to say, the FamilyNext Pro also supports Bosch’s optional ConnectModule for GPS tracking, anti-theft alerts, and motor locking for added peace of mind.
Available in black and green colorways, the Urban Arrow FamilyNext Pro e-bike is priced at $8,999 in the US and $12,499 in Canada. It’s now available for purchase via authorized Urban Arrow dealers nationwide.
