An e-bike manufacturer, Buzz, has unveiled its next-generation e-trike, the Cerana T2, in the global markets. A direct successor to the Cerena T e-trike brings significant upgrades in terms of a new, refreshed design, a powerful mid-drive motor, an upgraded battery, and new safety features.
This time around, Buzz went for a more powerful 500 W mid-drive motor with 130 Nm of torque, which offers a top speed of 20 mph (32.1 kph) and tackles strong hill climbs. The battery capacity of the e-trike is now bigger than before, featuring a 500 Wh removable battery that delivers a maximum assistance range of up to 40 miles (64.3 km) on a single charge and takes around 4–6 hours for a full recharge.
Furthermore, it now features a new 17-inch low-step-through aluminum frame, which is said to make it easy for anyone to get on and off. You can select from five pedal assistance modes, and the tricycle has a big center-mounted LCD display, which shows speed, assist level, battery life, and more at a glance. Unlike the Lectric XP Trike 2 electric trike, it lacks a foldable design, and there's no word on payload capacity from the brand.
Buzz has incorporated 24” x 3” front and 20” x 3” rear tires into the Cerena T2, complemented by mechanical disk brakes. Other features of the e-trike include integrated lights, a parking brake, a rear rack, and a thumb throttle. Available in a single grey colorway, the Buzz Cerena T2 e-trike is now available for purchase via Buzz’s official website with a starting price of $1,399.
