Lectric has expanded its e-trike portfolio by introducing an all-new XP Trike2, a successor to Lectric’s popular first-generation XP Trike, which was introduced in 2023. The company’s new electric trike brings significant upgrades over the predecessor in terms of build quality, performance, improved braking system, and more. Plus, Lectric also brings new, fresh color options for the e-trike.
Lectric has announced two variants under the XP Trike2: the 500 W model and the top-end 750 W model. Both variants share very similar specs, albeit with a few tweaks. For example, the base variant features a 500 W motor with 1092 W of peak power and 65 Nm of torque that delivers a top speed of 14 mph (22.5 kph) and boasts a removable 624 Wh battery, offering up to 50 miles (80.4 km) of range on a single charge.
While the top-end model boasts a powerful 750 W rear hub motor with 1310 W of peak power and 85 Nm of torque, offering a top speed of 17 mph (27.3 kph). The battery capacity of the top-end is slightly larger than the base model. It features an 840 Wh battery, which is said to offer 70 miles (112 km) of assistance range on a single charge.
Both models come with a total of five riding modes, including eco, tour, sport, sport+, and turbo. Additionally, Lectric has incorporated a new Cloud suspension with a 50 mm suspension fork up front. Furthermore, it has a TFT color screen, which is a major upgrade over the XP Trike, showcasing essential driving information such as speed, driving modes, battery levels, and more. The Lectric XP Trike2, both models, features a new hydroformed aluminum-made foldable design and is capable of handling payloads of up to 415 lbs (188.5 kg).
The Lectric XP Trike2 500 W and 750 W models come in tempest grey, glacier blue, stratus white, dusk blue, phoenix red, and lavender haze colorways and are priced at $1,499 and $1,799, respectively. Right now, the base variant is available for pre-order via Lectric’s official website, with shipping starting later this month (July 2025). There’s no word on the 750 W model’s availability.
