Decathlon is rolling out the Btwin LD 940E Connect e-bike in more European countries. This model, an upgraded version of the Btwn LD 920E, was first launched in April 2025, when it became available in the Netherlands, Spain and France.
Since then, it has arrived in Italy, Ireland and, most recently, Germany. In Italy and Germany, it is priced at €2,799.99, but it is cheaper in Ireland at €2,500.00. It is worth noting that it is currently out of stock at the brand’s online stores; the company has not indicated when it will become available again.
The Decathlon Btwin LD 940E Connect e-bike is powered by a 250W Owuru motor, with 600W peak power and up to 65 Nm torque. There is a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) for automatic gear shifting with a listed gear ratio of 310%. The accompanying 694 Wh battery provides up to 130 km (~81 miles) of assistance range when the bike is in Eco mode, according to Decathlon. The remaining battery level and other information is shown on an integrated display. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity allows you to view journey statistics and to track the location of your electric bicycle in the Decathlon smartphone app.
The LD 940E has a front suspension fork with 30 mm travel, and is also fitted with Tektro R280 hydraulic disc brakes and Vittoria E-Randonneur Tech tires. Accessories include a headlight, rear luggage rack, kickstand and fenders. This e-bike has a beige colored aluminum frame available in two sizes: S/M and L/XL. The larger size suits riders up to 1.95 m (~6’ 5’’) tall and weighs 26.5 kg (~58.4 lbs).
