Raleigh has launched a new Captus low-step frame e-bike in the UK and EU markets. The company’s new premium e-bike boasts a Bosch Active Line mid-drive motor, which offers a respectable 40 Nm of torque and a maximum speed of 15.5 mph (25 km/h). It features an all-aluminum frame and weighs around 25 kg (55.1 lbs).
The Captus is equipped with a classic derailleur system from Shimano with 9 gears. Furthermore, it comes with 28” wide tires paired with hydraulic disc brakes and a 50 mm front suspension fork. Raleigh also packs a Bosch Powerpack Rack 400 Wh battery, which is said to provide up to 70 miles (112.6 km) of range on a single charge.
Other features of the 9-speed e-bike include a Bosch Purion 200 display, an integrated 6-12 V front headlight, and an Abus frame lock. Moreover, the e-bike comes with a comprehensive range of equipment, including mudguards, a kickstand, a pannier rack, and a taillight.
Available in a sole Titanium colorway, the Raleigh Captus is priced at £1,899 (around $2,400). Interested buyers can purchase the electric bike directly from Raleigh’s official website.
