Also, a spin-off of electric car manufacturer Rivian, has unveiled its first e-bike, and it could hardly be more unusual. Thanks to its modular design, it can be converted in seconds, while the manufacturer advertises a range of 160 kilometers and modern features such as a round 5-inch touchscreen.

The brand new Also TM-B e-bike is unique in the e-bike market in several ways. First and foremost, the Rivian subsidiary brand uses a modular design that allows the seat to be changed in a matter of seconds to fit a wider cruiser seat or a saddle with a large luggage rack, for example. This allows the e-bike to be quickly converted for different uses.

The battery can be removed and fully charged in 2 hours and 20 minutes with up to 240 watts via USB-C, eliminating the need to carry a bulky, proprietary power adapter. Two USB-C ports also allow the battery to be used as a giant power bank with a capacity of 538 Wh or 808 Wh, depending on the model. A small E Ink display directly on the battery shows the charge level. The e-bike itself has a round 5-inch touchscreen on the handlebars, which is used to control functions such as motor power, but can also display ongoing navigation or control music playback from a connected smartphone.

To prevent theft, the Also TM-B locks the rear wheel when the user is not nearby. If the locked e-bike is moved, an alarm sounds and the owner receives a notification. The e-bike can be located in the smartphone app via GPS. A 1,500-lumen front light and a 250-lumen rear light are standard features. A torque of 180 Nm allows steep climbs to be mastered. Regenerative brakes are said to extend the range by up to 25%.

Prices and availability

The Also TM-B will be launched in spring 2026 as a "Launch Edition" for $4,500, followed in summer by a technically comparable and equally priced "Performance" model. A base model with a shorter range of 60 miles and a weaker motor will follow towards the end of 2026. More information about the TM-B is available on the manufacturer's website.
