Marin Bikes has unveiled its first-ever e-gravler, the Lombard E, onto the European market. The brand has introduced two models, the Lombard E1 and the Lombard E2. Design-wise, there’s no difference between both models. However, specs-wise, the latter has slightly superior features than the former. For example, the E1 is equipped with a Shimano GRX 12-speed mechanical drivetrain, while the E2 ships with a Shimano GRX Di2 12-speed electronic drivetrain with wireless shifting capabilities, which makes it costlier than the E1.
The Lombard E features an aluminum frame paired with a full carbon fork, which ensures a smooth and comfortable ride even on rough terrains, said the company in its press release. At the heart of the Lombard E1 and E2 is the Bosch SX Sprint motor, paired with an integrated 400 Wh PowerTube battery. At the time of writing, there are no details about its top speed, maximum range, and torque.
What we know is that both models have wide tires coupled with Shimano GRX hydraulic brakes. Besides wireless Shimano shifting, the E2 is also equipped with a Trans X dropper seatpost, which allows the rider to adjust the saddle at the touch of a button. Unfortunately, the E1 lacks both the wireless shifting and a dropper seatpost, too. Furthermore, there’s no LCD display and app-based controls here.
Available in white and brown and grey and blue dual-tone color options, the Lombard E1 starts at €3,899, while the Lombard 2 is priced at €4,699. Plus, both models are available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. For more details, head over to Marin Bikes' official website.
