The Gazelle Easyflow C8 is a recently launched e-bike that stands out immediately thanks to its rather distinctive geometry. This frame design serves a specific purpose: It allows riders to mount and dismount easily with both feet on the ground, ensuring greater safety and comfort, particularly when they have to stop frequently at traffic lights. The bike pairs an eight-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear with an automatic shifting system, so users can ride without having to worry about selecting the right speed, even in stop-and-go traffic.
The Easyflow C8 comes with a Shimano EP5 mid-drive motor that delivers up to 50 Nm of torque. Whilst this motor isn’t extremely powerful, its moderate output isn’t necessarily a disadvantage for city commutes with mild gradients. The battery is mounted externally rather than integrated into the frame. Gazelle offers the following battery capacities: 418, 504 and 630 Wh. According to official specs, the largest option provides a range of up to 145 km (approximately 90 mi) in Eco mode.
A Shimano SC-EN600 colour display shows essential ride data. The front and rear wheels are fitted with Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tyres and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. Other notable components include a rear bike rack and built-in lighting, though suspension has been omitted entirely. Prices for the Gazelle Easyflow C8 start at €3,599 (around $4,196). For the US market, the company offers the Easyflow C7 – a lower-spec version with the same frame geometry – at a starting price of $3,999.
