Tern recently unveiled its updated Vektron folding e-bike. Available in several configurations, it now features upgraded motors, the Bosch Smart System, and a belt-drive option for streamlined maintenance.

Tern recently introduced a new generation of its Vektron folding e-bike. As is typical with e-bikes, the new Vektron is available in a range of configurations that share the same overall design. Folding e-bikes not only are highly convenient for transport in cars but also can be taken on public transit. The Vektron can roll on its wheels even when folded, making it easier to transfer between trains. Its pannier rack include additional supports that allow it to stand upright securely when folded.

Compared with their predecessors, the two higher-end models – Vektron P10 and P5i – are equipped with a more powerful Bosch mid-drive motor offering 75 Nm of torque (up from 65 Nm). Tern has included the Bosch Smart System and also offers an optional GPS tracker for the bike. The Vektron P5i features a five-speed hub gear paired with a belt drive rather than a traditional chain, which helps prevent grease stains on a car boot’s interior. The different configurations also offer buyers a choice between a sportier and a comfortable riding position, depending on personal preference and typical ride distance. The new Vektron appears to include front and rear mudguards, integrated lighting, and a rack for carrying panniers.

The Vektron P5i and P10 will be available in Europe starting October 2025, with prices from €3,999 (about $4,735). The Vektron P7i, a limited-edition model exclusive to Germany, Austria, and the Benelux countries, comes with a seven-speed hub gear and a starting price of €3,799 (about $4,500). Prices and availability may vary by region.
