Engwe has just showcased the Engine Pro 3.0 Boost. The official price remains unconfirmed, at least on the product page, but according to the source code, it will be €1,699. The Engine Pro 3.0 Boost is a foldable bike designed for off-road use and features not only a suspension fork and a shock absorber, but also four-inch wide tires, which should provide good grip on challenging surfaces. We have already reviewed similar e-bikes: the riding experience on an e-bike with wide tires is something special.
At 34.7 kilograms, the bike is definitely not a lightweight. It features a hub motor with a maximum torque of 90 Nm, which is controlled by a torque sensor. The 720 Wh battery is removable, and a 3.5-inch color display is on board. An IoT module with a cellular modem, Bluetooth and GPS are included, which are not commonly found on foldable bikes.
Moreover, it features a Shimano seven-speed derailleur gear system, although the Tourney gear system is not exactly the highest quality groupset. Hydraulic disc brakes are installed at the front and rear. Other features include lights, luggage rack, mudguards and a bike stand. Further details can be found on the official product page.
