A fat-tire e-bike manufacturer, Kingbull, is back with the new Discover 2.0 series of fat-tire e-bikes, a direct successor to the first-generation Discover series. The company has launched two models under its Discover 2.0 lineup, including the Discover 2.0 and the Discover 2.0 ST. Both fat-tire e-bikes come with a similar set of features, but what makes them different is their frame structure. To be more exact, the former has a classic step-over aluminum frame, while the latter sports a step-thru aluminum frame suitable for shorter riders.
The Discover 2.0 series, designed to be used for city as well as off-road riding, boasts a 750 W Bafang brushless rear hub motor, a similar motor found on the Kingbull’s Jumper Go and the Verve fat-tire e-bikes. The motor offers 85 Nm of torque and a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph), which further enables riders to tackle inclines up to 35°. Riders can also adjust the e-bike’s speed (5-28 mph) for Class 2 performance to comply with US/EU e-bike speed regulations.
A 720 Wh removable Samsung lithium-ion battery powers the Discover 2.0 series e-bikes, which is said to deliver up to 60 miles (96.5 km) of range on a single charge. These e-bikes are equipped with a Shimano Altus 7-speed drivetrain and feature wide 26 x 4.0-inch CST all-terrain tires complemented by dual-piston Zoom hydraulic disk brakes, a Kingbull OS-D26 front suspension with 80 mm travel, and a torque sensor.
Besides a powerful motor and battery, the Discover 2.0 and the Discover 2.0 ST come with an integrated backlit LCD display that provides information, such as speed, battery levels, assist mode, total distance, and more. There are breathable saddles and 48V LED headlights on both e-bikes for better visibility during low-light conditions.
Despite boasting different frames, the Discover 2.0 and the Discover 2.0 ST have similar weights at 76.5 lbs (34.6 kg) and 77 lbs (34.9 kg), respectively, and can handle a maximum payload of up to 400 lbs (181.4 kg).
Available in pink, white, and space gray, the Discover 2.0 series fat-tire e-bikes can be acquired for $1,299 via Kingbull’s official website. The company is also offering an extra $200 off on buying 2 bikes for a limited time.
