Puckipuppy has launched its latest Rottweiler electric trike in the global market. The company’s new Rottweiler lines up as a premium-range e-trike to compete with recent releases from Buzz and Velotric, among others. The e-trike features a low step-through aluminum frame. However, it lacks the foldable design found on the Velotric’s Triker e-trike.
Unlike other e-trikes, the Rottweiler comes with a unique butterfly handlebar design for multiple riding positions. The handlebar is complemented by a 4.7-inch HD display that offers a range of driving-related information such as speed, battery levels, motor power reference, and more. The vehicle ships with 20 x 4” fat tires complemented by hydraulic brakes and a dual suspension system.
Speaking of powered things, the Puckipuppy Rottweiler is powered by a 960 W peak power motor (750 W nominal power) with a torque sensor, which is said to offer a 15 mph (25 km/h) top speed. A 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh) battery powers the electric trike, and the company promises up to 55 miles (88 km) of range between charges. The aluminum frame is capable of handling payloads of up to 500 lbs (226.7 kg).
Alongside the unique handlebar design, another new addition is the thumb-operated reverse gear. The tricycle is equipped with the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and thumb throttle similar to the Buzz Cerena T2. Other features include integrated rear turn signals, a parking brake, and a corrosion-resistant chain.
As for price, the Puckipuppy Rottweiler is priced at $2,399 and comes in blue and black colorways. Buyers can now purchase the e-trike directly from Puckipuppy’s official website.
