Velotric, a well-known e-bike manufacturer, has officially entered the e-trike market with its latest Triker e-trike. An immediate rival to the recently launched Lectric XP Trike 2 and Buzz Cerena T2 e-trike, it comes with a powerful motor, a large battery, and a durable build. More specifically, the Triker boasts a low-step-through aluminum alloy foldable frame and is capable of handling payloads of up to 500 lbs (226.7 kg).
The Triker, designed for senior individuals with limited mobility in mind, boasts a powerful 750 W motor with 1,300 W peak power and 90 Nm of torque, which offers a top speed of 20 mph (32 kph) and tackles inclines of up to 15°. The e-trike is equipped with the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and thumb throttle with cruise control.
Velortic has incorporated Smart SensorSwap technology into the Triker, which switches between torque mode and cadence mode with the press of a button. Speaking of battery, the Triker has a massive IPX7-rated 804 Wh battery, which is said to offer 50 miles (80.4 km) of throttle range and up to 60 miles (96.5 km) with pedal assistance range. Furthermore, the vehicle features Kenda 20 x 3.0” puncture-resistant wide tires paired with 80 mm hydraulic front suspension and hydraulic disk brakes with auto-lock brake function.
Needless to say, there are five pedal assistance modes and a beginner mode with top speed capped at 8 mph (12 km). Additionally, it has a big center-mounted 3.5-inch full-color LCD display, which shows speed, assist level, battery life, and more at a glance. The rest of the highlights of the Triker include an integrated LED headlight, taillight, IPX6 water resistance, app-based controls via the Velotric companion app, and Apple Find My for added visibility and theft protection.
Available in cherry crimson, pearl white, and royal blue colorways, the Velotric Triker is priced at $2,399 and is now available for purchase exclusively at Velotric authorized retailers.
