German e-bike manufacturer Canyon has officially taken the wraps off its lightest e-road bike to date, the Endurace:ONfly. If you're a road cyclist who wants electric support without compromising on ride quality or weight, the new lineup has four carbon-framed models starting at €4,499 and topping out at €9,999. The bikes are now available in Europe through Canyon’s website and app, but will not be sold in the US at this time.
The Endurace:ONfly is built around the TQ HPR4.0 motor system. It's a compact drive unit that delivers up to 200W of pedal assistance. Paired with a fully integrated 290 Wh battery - and an optional 160 Wh range extender - the setup provides over 100 km of range and support for climbs up to 2,000 meters. The motor and battery are neatly tucked into the frame, which makes the bike visually and functionally close to a traditional road bike.
Weight is a key highlight of this bike. All models weigh under 10 kg, with the top-end SUB-10 variant coming in at just 9.86 kg. To reach this figure, Canyon has utilized its NeoBeam technology to reduce wall thickness on the carbon tubes without compromising frame stiffness. Across the board, the Endurace:ONfly keeps a minimalistic design and a clean cockpit, with a slim handlebar-mounted remote that switches modes and displays assist status.
The bike is equipped with integrated safety features, including a theft-deterrent motion sensor, GPS tracking (visible via the Canyon app), and front and rear integrated lights. All models use 700c wheels and offer tire clearance up to 35 mm, even with mudguards installed. Each version is available in seven sizes, from XXS to XXL.
Canyon is positioning this launch as a direct response to the compromises often seen in the e-road category, claiming the ONfly delivers the most natural, elegant, and lightweight ride available among today’s electric road bikes.
