Riese & Müller recently launched the Charger5 Pinion e-bike, which is now available in various European countries. The company describes this model as an “agile all-rounder”, suiting both your daily commute and off-road trips at the weekend.
The Riese & Müller Charger5 has a super-rigid diamond frame with a Fox AWL 34 suspension fork with 100 mm travel. It is powered by a Pinion E1.12 MGU (motor gearbox unit), a low-maintenance solution with up to 160 Nm torque. This 12-speed bike is fitted with a Gates drive belt CDX and the Fit Bat Tubepack 800Wh battery, which weighs 3.8 kg (~8.4 lbs). It also has Schwalbe tires and Magura MT4 disc brakes.
On the handlebar-mounted display, you can view information like your current speed and remaining range. Riders can also track the location of the bike and view ride statistics in the RX Connect app; it is worth noting that this is a subscription service, with users offered a one-year free trial. The e-bike’s MIK HD can be used to transport luggage by attaching a shopping basket or panniers, and this system could also be used for a child seat. Other accessories include a headlight, with main and dipped beam settings, a rear light, fenders and a kickstand.
You can buy the Riese & Müller Charger5 Pinion e-bike in the UK for £7,149, and in EU countries like France and Spain for around €7,669-€7,729. Customers can choose between magnesium, pine and slate grey frame colors, four sizes from 45 cm to 58 cm, and there is also a range of optional accessories.
