New Govee String Lights 2S with AI Lighting Bot appear

The Govee String Lights 2S have appeared online. The new smart lighting product was spotted in the Connectivity Standards Alliance database and has now been listed in Austria by the retailer MediaMarkt.

As the Govee String Lights 2S have yet to be officially announced, limited specifications are available. The product listing indicates that these smart lights have RGBWIC from 200 LED lamp beads, with a 20,000-hour expected lifetime. These string lights are suitable for indoor or outdoor use, with an IP65 dust and water resistance rating and an operating temperature range of -20 to 40°C (-4 to 104°F). The LEDs sit on a green string, with Bluetooth connectivity and support for the Matter protocol for remote controls via various apps or voice assistants, including Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. 

In the Govee Home app, users can choose from over 130 dynamic lighting effects and use smart mapping technology to customize their lighting based on its placement. On top of this, you can use the AI Lighting Bot to create lighting for your specific needs, with support for voice input and a feedback loop to refine the effects. Based on this information, it is unclear how this new product differs from the original Govee String Lights 2.

You can now buy the Govee String Lights 2S 20 m at MediaMarkt Austria for €74.99; for comparison, the String Lights 2 20 m launched with a €99.99 RRP. It remains to be seen when Govee officially announces this new smart lighting product or launches it in other countries like the US, where the original 66 ft (20 m) String Lights 2 are available for $99.99 at Amazon.
