A new Govee Square Ceiling Light has appeared in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database. The CSA manages various smart home standards, including Zigbee and Matter, for which this new Govee smart lighting product is now certified.
Govee has yet to officially announce the Square Ceiling Light, also known by model number H80A4. The CSA database listing reveals few details about the product, stating that it uses the same Wi-FI technology as the Govee Neon Rope Light 2 (H61D5). However, the ceiling light is said to contain two monolithic lighting strips, throwing light into the room and onto the ceiling.
This new product has also been spotted on the Govee Desktop app. Here, it is listed as supporting Razer Chroma RGB, meaning you will be able to sync this smart light with your gaming device for a more immersive experience.
It remains to be seen how similar the new Square Ceiling Light will be to the original Govee Smart Ceiling Light (curr. $69.99 at Amazon). This model also has two light sources, RGB+WW as the main light source and RGBIC at the rear. Features include adjustable brightness and color temperature, wake-up routines, and over 71 scene modes, including music sync modes. Precisely when the Govee Square Ceiling Light will launch and at what price is unclear.
