Signify has announced that the Philips Hue Sync TV app is now available for LG TVs in various countries worldwide. This means that Philips Hue smart lights can sync with content on LG TVs for an immersive watching or gaming experience. Supported Philips Hue smart lights include the Play Light Bar (curr. $89.99 at Amazon).
The Philips Hue Sync TV can be used to generate dynamic lighting effects, adjusting the brightness and color to match the on-screen content. The app will work with content from gaming consoles, set-top boxes, streaming sticks and various streaming apps like Netflix and Disney+. Supported image formats include 4K, 8K, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. This native smart TV app is compatible with LG TVs from 2024 onwards, running webOS 24 or later.
It is worth noting that the Philips Hue Sync TV app must be purchased. Customers can choose from a one-time cost of $129.99/€129.99 or a monthly subscription that allows you to access the app from up to three TVs, priced at $2.99/€2.99.
