LG has announced the launch of the Signature OLED T, a transparent 4K OLED TV, in Germany. The model was released in the US in December and was displayed at CES 2025 at the start of the year. Now, the device is on show at the LG Convention, held in Frankfurt on February 25th and 26th.
The flagship TV’s transparent 77-inch OLED screen is designed to blend into its surroundings and can display artwork when not in use. Plus, a retractable black shade is triggered with a single click, making the TV opaque and enhancing the picture. The Alpha 11 Al Processor is said to deliver AI upscaling, a smooth picture and a virtual 11.1.2 channel sound experience. On top of this, there is support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Filmmaker Mode, and the TV is Nvidia G-Sync Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certified.
LG claims that it is the first transparent TV to offer true wireless 4K 120Hz video and audio transfer via the Zero Connect Box, removing the need for cables. With webOS, users can stream content from many popular apps like Netflix and Disney+ and control the TV with voice commands. Other features include Google Chromecast, built-in 4.2-channel speakers, and ports like HDMI eARC, RS-232C and USB 2.0.
The LG Signature OLED T will be available via specialist retailers in Germany this April for €49,999. As a reminder, the model is priced at $59,999.99 in the US. When the TV launched last year, LG confirmed that it planned to bring the model to global markets. However, further details for releases in other countries have yet to be revealed.
