The B4 has been a cost-effective way to experience the benefits of an LG OLED TV. At its steepest Amazon discount yet, buyers will think twice about similarly priced Mini-LED displays. The LG B4 has the superior contrast and viewing angles that make OLED technology enticing.

As popular OLED TVs and monitor models fall in price, their outstanding black levels become more accessible. The B4 was already the most affordable LG OLED TV. It offers picture quality and viewing angles a notch above many Mini-LED alternatives. Thanks to a new Amazon sale, the 65-inch 4K LG B4 has hit the enticing $1000 price point.

The B4 is the lowest-end LG OLED TV, but it forces few compromises compared to the C4 and G4 series. Many manufacturers skimp on connectivity with budget TVs. Fortunately, the LG B4 offers four high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports, which is ideal for owners of multiple current-gen consoles.

LG's display also caters to gamers with G-Sync and VRR support, preventing stutters during frantic gameplay. While its 120Hz maximum refresh rate trails some of the latest gaming monitors, it's a perfect partner for the Xbox Series X and PS5.

The 65-inch B4 LG OLED TV uses the WOLED panel, which helped bring the displays into the mainstream after its 2016 debut. Despite the appealing QD-OLED technology used by Samsung and other rivals, the B4 has the advantages of a traditional OLED display. The colors are accurate, and images lack blooming, keeping darker scenes uniformly black. However, buyers may find that the B4 isn't the best choice for bright spaces. Even though it produces vivid colors, it lacks the high peak brightness of more expensive OLED TV options.

When in a light-controlled home theater room, the LG B4 realizes its potential. Owners can also employ Filmmaker Mode, which removes enhancements and displays movies in their natural form. Still, AI has its advantages with the OLED TV, as it enables picture settings and adapts multiple types of content.

In 2024, Sansui introduced the United States to a 55-inch budget OLED TV that only cost $799. The manufacturer plans to release more sizes in 2025, including a 65-inch panel. Until then, the LG B4 has limited competition, especially at its record-low $1000 Amazon sale price
