LG is gradually bringing its latest UltraGear gaming monitors to global audiences. To recap, the company released new 34-inch, 39-inch and 45-inch examples last month. Following that, it announced European pricing and availability for three of these gaming monitors, which will begin shipping in the spring.
Now, LG has opened pre-orders for the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A in Canada, shortly before the same monitor reaches the rest of North America. As the screenshot below shows, LG Canada has priced UltraGear OLED 45GX950A at CAD$2,799, which converts to ~$1,928 at current exchange rates. That price also includes a Corsair gaming bundle, full details of which can be found on LG Canada's website.
As it stands, LG Canada should begin shipping pre-orders on March 28. By contrast, no firm release date has been given for the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A in the US. Instead, the company has hinted that the monitor will land on April 1, when it will go on sale for $1,999. Alternatively, the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A will be available for $1,899 after redeeming a $100 coupon via LG US' website.
For reference, the UltraGear OLED 45XG950A replaces the UltraGear OLED 45GS95QE (curr. $1,561 on Amazon), which launched with a 1440p and 240 Hz panel. In comparison, the UltraGear OLED 45XG950A switches to 5K2K (5,120 x 2,160) and 165 Hz, which it can increase to 330 Hz by dropping to WFHD. Please see LG's website for more technical details.
