Dell’s latest gaming monitor, the Alienware AW2725DM, brings high-refresh-rate gaming to the 27-inch QHD category. The monitor features a 2560x1440 resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time. Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync, and VESA AdaptiveSync support should help eliminate tearing and stuttering for an overall immersive gaming experience.
The Fast IPS panel delivers 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. A built-in hardware-based low blue light filter (ComfortView Plus) reduces eye strain without dulling colors, so long gaming sessions should be relatively easier on the eyes.
Design-wise, the AW2725DM sports the new Alienware AW30 industrial look, finished in what the brand refers to as 'Interstellar Indigo'. The adjustable stand allows for height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, and its small-footprint base should help keep desks clutter-free. 360-degree ventilation improves airflow to keep the display cool under heavy use.
For connectivity, the monitor offers two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and multiple USB ports, supporting 144Hz over HDMI and 180Hz via DisplayPort. Features like Picture-by-Picture (PbP) and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) should simplify multitasking.
Dell backs the AW2725DM with a 3-year Premium Panel Warranty and Advanced Exchange Service. The monitor also ships in FSC-certified sustainable packaging, which is a subtle nod towards environmental responsibility.
While the company hasn't revealed the pricing or availability details for the 27-inch gaming monitor just yet, we can expect that info to be available soon.
