MWC 2025 | Alienware launches 34-inch WQHD curved gaming monitor with 180Hz and 3000:1 contrast ratio

At MWC 2025, Alienware is debuting the AW3425DWM - a 34-inch curved gaming monitor that comes with a 3440x1440 resolution and a 1500R curve for an expanded field of view. The 180Hz refresh rate and claimed 1ms response times keep motion blur under control, while AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync serve to minimize screen tearing for smoother gameplay. Per the press release, the VA panel delivers a 3000:1 contrast ratio for better visibility in dark scenes. 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and VESA DisplayHDR 400 ensure accurate colors and high brightness levels.

Connectivity-wise, the monitor includes HDMI 2.1 FRL and DisplayPort 1.4, supporting 180Hz refresh rates at full WQHD resolution. USB-A and USB-B ports are present for accessory-oriented connectivity. Picture-by-Picture (PbP) and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) modes allow multitasking with multiple inputs.

The AW30 industrial design features a compact base and an adjustable stand for height, tilt, and pivot control. ComfortView Plus, a built-in low blue light filter, cuts down on eye strain without affecting color accuracy. 360-degree ventilation should improve heat dissipation.
