Dell's Alienware lineup has seen multiple new additions, including the AW3225DM. This 32-inch gaming monitor sports a VA panel, which isn't generally as great as IPS panels when it comes to viewing angles and color accuracy. However, Dell is promising 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and good 178-degree viewing angles.
That said, VA has a few upper hands over IPS, one of them is better response times, which is crucial for a gaming monitor. As for the panel that Dell has used for the Alienware AW3225DM, it has a 180 Hz refresh rate and a claimed 1 ms gray-to-gray response time.
To further enhance the fluidity, this Alienware gaming monitor comes with AMD FreeSync and VESA AdaptiveSync certifications. Dell also promises crisp and well-detailed visuals with the panel's QHD resolution, and the 1500R curved nature of the display is said to offer a very immersive viewing experience.
Speaking of the viewing experience, the monitor has a hardware-based low blue light solution. Per Dell, it's there to minimize eyestrain without sacrificing the color quality.
As for the design, the AW3225DM sports a sleek, gaming-focused outlook. It has a small base for a clean look, and the base offers tilt, swivel, and height adjustments. The monitor's back has a good number of ports as well, including 2 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, two 5 Gbps USB-A, and one 5 Gbps USB-B (Anker 4-port USB-C hub curr. $9.99 on Amazon).
Other highlights of the gaming monitor include VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, anti-glare coating on the surface, and VESA mount support. Dell has yet to share the pricing and availability details of the Alienware AW3225DM gaming monitor.
