Like most OLED TV models, the S84D excels in darker rooms. Viewers will notice that the bars around the movies always remain jet black. Horror films or games like Silent Hill thrive on the display, with the most shadowy figures remaining visible.
Not all buyers are fans of the Tizen OS, but it's compatible with most popular gaming and streaming apps. Also, the smart TV's processor is potent enough to minimize lag when browsing menus.
The Samsung TV is the Best Buy-exclusive variation of the more common S85D. Still, one difference is the 30-watt 2.1-channel speakers in the S84D. While more powerful, most buyers will want to consider a budget soundbar for louder and crisper audio.
If buyers can find the LG B4 on sale, the brighter OLED TV is more suitable for well-lit spaces. Regardless, its well-rounded Samsung rival handles all types of SD and HD content.
