Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X new cheaper robot vacuum now available

The Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X robot vacuum is now available. This is a cheaper version of the original Qrevo Curv model, which was launched last year. The company has created this more affordable model by removing several features.

For example, the Qrevo Curv S5X lacks the AdaptiLift Chassis on the standard model, which raises the robot’s body up to 10mm to allow it to climb over taller obstacles. Also missing is the Hello Rocky voice assistant, which provides an alternative remote control option to the brand's app for the regular Qrevo Curv. There is also a modification to the maximum suction power, lowered to 17,000Pa from 18,5000Pa.

Other features remain the same. These include the DuoDivide Main Brush and FlexiArm Arc Side Brush. Both models also offer Reactive Obstacle avoidance technology, and come with the Multifunctional Dock 3.0 with features like hot water cleaning and warm air drying.

The Roborock Qrevo Curv S5X/5A1/5XC robot vacuum is priced at $999.99/€999.99. Plus, customers are offered a $150/€150 discount at Amazon. As a comparison of price, the original Qrevo Curv launched at $1,599.99/€1,499.99 RRP, but it is currently available at $1,299.99/€1,274.99 at Amazon. A similar cheaper version of the Qrevo Edge, the Qrevo Edge S5A, has also recently been launched.
