Today (February 27, 2025) is also known as National Retro Day by some, and there are few more universally-loved aspects of what commonly falls under that category than the record player.
That might be why Mixx Audio has chosen to support its classic medium (the LP vinyl record) with its latest product. The Retro 65 features a "robust" belt-drive for its full-size turntable. It is compatible with both 33 and 45 RPM records (via the included adapter for the latter).
The Revival 65 also features auto-stop and a pitch control "for tailored playback", as well as a diamond-tip stylus as part of its AT3600L cartridge from Audio-Technica.
It also has the quintessential 'briefcase' form-factor with wood for its interior and faux leather for its exterior, finished with "durable" fittings such as a solid metal cast handle. Its lid has a round viewing window, so that it can be either open or closed while playing records.
The Revival 65's case also integrates dual speakers, which can be used to play either its own audio or that streamed from paired devices such as smartphones.
It can also use an external sound system to spread its potential for vinyl warmth and clarity further throughout the room (or whole house, even) - which, as Mixx Audio does not disclose the player's internal speakers' specs, might be just as well.
The OEM asserts that the new Revival 65 will make "a functional and aesthetic addition to any space" in the black or white SKUs now available on Amazon for $199.99.
