The Toshiba Aurex AX-RP10 portable wireless record player lets vinyl record enthusiasts to enjoy their music indoors and outdoors with 3.5 mm or Bluetooth headphones and speakers, offering up to 10 hours of playback on its internal battery.

Toshiba Japan has released the Aurex AX-RP10 Bluetooth portable record player. The player transmits music using the SBC or LC3 audio codec to wireless speakers and headphones over Bluetooth 5.4, with a range of up to 10 m (33 ft.).

The belt driven player supports 33 1/2 and 45 rpm records on a 109 mm (4.3 in.) die-cast aluminum alloy turntable. Although the platter is smaller than normal, the wow-and-flutter is under 0.2-percent with a signal-to-noise of over 60 dB.

The statically balanced tone arm holds a MM-type cartridge with a needle pressure of 3.5 g ± 0.5 g. An external arm lifter and automatic stop reduces unnecessary record wear. The cover can be held upright in the rear slot during playback of the record for reference and enjoyment.

The player measures 160 × 74 × 300 mm (6.3 × 2.9 × 11.8 in.) and weighs 1.2 kg (2.7 lbs). An internal 2,000 mAh battery powers the player for up to 10 hours.

Pricing has not been announced, but the player will be available for purchase sometime in April.

Readers who can't wait to import the Toshiba Aurex portable record player can consider the classic Audio-Technica Sound Burger (sold on Amazon in black or yellow).
