The Poco M7 Pro 5G has reached Europe and the UK, less than a week after Xiaomi released the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra globally. Today does not mark the first run out for the company's latest Poco M series smartphone, though. On the contrary, Xiaomi has been selling the Poco M7 Pro 5G in India since the middle of December.
As we discussed at the time, the Poco M7 Pro 5G combines hardware from the Redmi Note 14 offered in China and its Indian counterpart. In other words, the Poco M7 Pro 5G differs from the global Redmi Note 14 5G (curr. $319.99 on Amazon) in a crucial area.
According to Xiaomi, the Poco M7 Pro 5G combines a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 1080p, 120 Hz and with 2,100 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash storage are on hand, as is a 5,110 mAh battery that supports 45 W wired charging.
However, the Poco M7 Pro 5G features a Sony LYT-600 as its primary camera with a 50 MP native output, OIS, an f/1.5 aperture and a 1/1.95-inch optical format. By contrast, the global Redmi Note 14 5G contains a 108 MP pulled from its predecessor. Moreover, the Poco M7 Pro 5G complements its LYT-600 primary camera with 2 MP depth and 20 MP front-facing lenses.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G starts at £140/€199 (~$215) for anyone who places a £1/€1 deposit before April 7 at 09:59 local time. While this variant comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, a 12 GB of RAM option is also available for £180/€219 (~$237) during the same period. Please note that these prices are scheduled to rise to £199/€239 (~$258) and £239/€259 (~$280) after this promotional period ends. Xiaomi is offering various other launch offers too, such as a discounted Smart Band 9 Active in the UK. Please see Xiaomi's website for more details.
