91mobiles and OnLeaks have partnered to provide a first look at what they claim is the Pixel Watch 4. Based on the information shared by the latter, it seems as though only CAD files of the smaller 41 mm variant have emerged so far. Nonetheless, 91mobiles expects Google to deliver a 45 mm successor to the Pixel Watch 3 too (curr. $399.99 on Amazon).
Upon first glance, it seems that Google has changed next to nothing from the Pixel Watch 3 to the Pixel Watch 4. However, a few notable tweaks have been made. For example, it looks like Google has reduced bezel thickness between generations, although these will largely be hidden by curved glass once again. Also, a pair of small buttons now flank the Pixel Watch's speaker and microphone grille, which remains situated on the smartwatch's left-hand side.
Surprisingly, 91mobiles and OnLeaks allege that the Pixel Watch has grown by over 16% in thickness to 14.3 mm for its fourth generation release. It appears that Google may adopt a new sensor array for the Pixel Watch 4 series, too. While details about these remain unknown for now, this sensor array is not surrounded by the four charging pins that can be found on older Pixel Watch generations. Thus, the Pixel Watch 4 could be the first in the series to adopt inductive charging like competing smartwatches.
