The Pixel 9a officially debuted over a week ago to replace the Pixel 8a (curr. $391 - used on Amazon). As we discussed at the time, Google initially claimed that its new Pixel A series smartphone would be available in April, albeit without specifying when. Apparently, quality issues were the reason behind the decision, although Google has not elaborated further.
With April right around the corner, Google's store listing still does not reveal when the Pixel 9a will be available to pre-order. Instead, the company encourages people to provide an email to 'Get notified' of future availability. However, it has now publicly disclosed when pre-orders will open, just on a support page that few people will likely read.
According to this page, the Pixel 9a will reach Canada, the UK and the US on April 10 before landing across the Eurozone and Switzerland on April 14. Meanwhile, Australian, Indian, Singaporean, Taiwanese and Malaysian residents must wait until April 16 before being able to pre-order the Pixel 9a. Apparently, the device will eventually land in Japan too; Google has not confirmed when yet. Excluding Japan, Google has confirmed the launch dates for the Pixel 9a in the following 31 countries:
