Oppo has launched a smaller version of its Watch X2 in China called the Watch X2 Mini. The launch event included not just the watch but also the new flagship Oppo Find X8 Ultra, the Find X8s, the Pad 4 Pro, and more. Since the Oppo Watch X2 was a rebranded OnePlus Watch 3, it is now expected that the smaller Oppo Watch X2 Mini will be released to the global market as the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini.
According to leaker Abhishek Yadav on X, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini will be rebadged as the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini for India and the global market. The Watch X2 Mini was among several other devices that were launched recently in China, exclusively. Considering the OnePlus Watch 3 that launched at $330 in the US recently saw a price hike to $500, launching a cheaper alternative in the form of a OnePlus Watch 3 Mini would make sense.
Furthermore, OnePlus itself reportedly confirmed the arrival of a smaller smartwatch later this year after the OnePlus Watch 3 was introduced.
The Watch X2 Mini features a 43 mm dial measuring 1.5-inches across with a 466 x 466-pixel native resolution and 1,000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset and a 354 mAh battery that can last up to 7 days.
Being owned by the same parent company, OnePlus and Oppo often rebrand each other’s products. Case in point: The Oppo Find X8s is expected to be the base for the upcoming OnePlus 13T.
