The OnePlus 13 has attracted a lot of praise for its take on Android 15 thus far. Now, it seems that the next major upgrade to its OxygenOS software skin might be even more interesting.
According to "an unofficial OnePlus System Apps channel on Telegram", it might launch with a new version of the feature that stops charging at a level such as 80%, which may also be familiar to those with smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
OnePlus has apparently augmented its version with a slider (a software-based one) that allows the user to choose a Charging Limit of 85%, 90%, 95% or 100% instead.
The allegedly more flexible addition to the Battery Health settings menu on the 13 might be particularly welcome, as its wired charging can be harder to keep track of over time with its particularly fast up-to-100W SuperVOOC power brick (replicas of which can be found on Amazon).
OnePlus does not confirm its presence on its own Android 16 Beta 2 changelog page. It does warn the user not to install it unless they are very interested in the OS' development, as this build is apparently so unstable that it might, for example, restart itself when taking a call over a Bluetooth headset.
