Garmin has been delivering stable updates to various smartwatches of late. For example, Fenix 7 and Fenix 8 models have received fresh stable updates within the last week, as well as associated smartwatches like the Fenix E and Enduro 3 (curr. $899.99 on Amazon).
Now, Garmin has summarised all the changes it has brought to its currently supported smartwatches as part of its latest feature update. In a press release, Garmin explains its Q1 2025 update as follows:
In an ongoing effort to improve our products and provide enhanced features to existing users, we are excited to announce our next feature update for smartwatches and cycling computers. The update provides improved functionality and new features for a variety of our fitness and outdoor products.
The free software updates have begun rolling out and will continue to do so over the coming weeks. Customers can update their smartwatch or cycling computer by enabling automatic updates from their devices.
Garmin goes on to clarify that its new update offers five primary upgrades, including passcode support and keyboard enhancements. These are not available across the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro, nor are strength workouts for Garmin Cycling and Garmin Run coaches. Garmin's older smartwatches have gained improved workout execution score and Body Battery Trueup functionality, though.
