Lidl has launched the Crivit Classic e-bike in several European countries. While it is called the Classic in Germany and Poland, the product listing in the Netherlands refers to it as the Basic Urban electric bicycle. It is designed for riding around the city, whether you are commuting or exploring at a weekend.
The Classic or Basic e-bike is equipped with a 250W 40Nm rear wheel motor, the Ananda M131SD. This can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph), with riders offered three levels of assistance: Eco, Tour and Race. There is also a boost feature, lasting for 20 seconds, which could be useful on a steeper incline. According to the Lidl online store product listing, the 355Wh battery allows you to ride with assistance for up to 70 km (~43.5 miles). The battery can be removed for charging, with a full recharge taking around 5.5 hours. Both the remaining battery level and your assistance mode are indicated on a handlebar-mounted LED display.
Other features of the 7-speed model include a Shimano Tourney rear derailleur, a suspension fork, Tektro disc brakes and Kenda tires. Plus, there are accessories such as a rear luggage rack, a headlight, a rear light and a dedicated place for a smart tracker like an Apple Air Tag (curr. $24 at Amazon). The step-through bike has an aluminum frame, with the model weighing approximately 24 kg (~53 lbs) overall.
You can now buy the Lidl Crivit Classic e-bike for the discounted price of €999 in the Netherlands. At the brand’s online stores in Germany and Poland, there is no discount on the €1,199/ PLN 3,899 RRP. Lidl has also recently launched the Peak 709 eMTB, the first Crivit electric mountain bike.
