Engwe L20 3.0 Series: The world's first full-suspension step-through e-bikes
Engwe asserts that its new additions to the L20 series will be its smoothest and most comfortable yet with an upgrade to a full suspension system across the board. The L20 3.0 Boost and Pro are also the first e-bikes of their line rated to take as little as 2 hours to charge thanks to the OEM's 8A Fast Charging system.
The 2 models look similar thanks to their step-through design in the same Black and Champagne color options. They are also both foldable with rapid-collapse pedals for improved ease of portability and storage.
However, the Pro has been equipped with the most torque of the new line-up for its mid-drive 250W motor, while the Boost makes do with an eponymous up-to-75Nm system.
The Pro also has the greatest estimated range thanks to its 720 watt-hour (Wh) battery, although the Boost is backed to get up to 120km (~75 miles) per charge.
It does miss out on the "IoT Smart" security system (consisting of remote control via app; real-time GPS and tampering notifications) of the 3.0 Pro, though.
The Boost variant will at least be the cheaper of the 2, with a recommended price of €1,399 (~$1,527) compared to €1,699 (~$1,854) in the Pro and the chance of grabbing free gifts such as a rear rack and an Engwe 11th Anniversary Gift Box from its release on April 1, 2025.
