Himiway has launched the Electric Motorbike C5 in the US. The all-terrain e-motorbike is powered by a brushless 750W geared hub motor with up to 86Nm torque. The engine provides a top speed of 20 mph (~32 kph), or 28 mph (~45 kph) when unlocked. You can control the power using a thumb throttle, or a torque sensor can automatically adjust the motor's power to match your output.
The C5 has an integrated LCD, where you can adjust the assistance mode and view your speed and remaining battery. The unit can also alert you of any problems with the vehicle and offers a USB port to charge your phone. A 960Wh battery allows you to ride with assistance for up to 80 miles (~130 km) on a single charge and is expected to retain 80% capacity after 1,000 cycles. There is an inverted suspension fork at the front with 140 mm travel and an adjustable 47 mm rear shock. Plus, the extended saddle is designed to make your ride more comfortable, and the Breathing Light on the motorbike's side provides colorful lighting.
Other features include a 7-speed Shimano derailleur, hydraulic brakes, 20 x 4-inch Kenda K-shield fat tires, a front light, and an automated brake light. The e-motorbike has an aluminum frame, weighs 88 lbs (~40 kg), and can support loads of up to 330 lbs (~150 kg). Available in two colors, Ink Gray and White, the Himiway Electric Motorbike C5 is now available in the US for $2,299.
