ENGWE X20 SE folding e-bike with triple suspension system appears
A possible new model from ENGWE, the X20 SE, has appeared in listings on various websites. As you might expect, the foldable model shares many similarities with the X20 launched last year. However, it is unclear if this is a new model as it has yet to be officially announced by ENGWE.
Product pages at Fnac and Geekbuying, both from third-party sellers, suggest that there could be a range difference between the X20 SE and the X20. The SE’s battery is listed as 14.4Ah, smaller than the 22.2Ah power pack on the original model. This means the assistance range is lowered from 150 km (~90 miles) to 100 km (~60 miles). However, a version of the X20 with the smaller 14.4Ah battery is already on sale in the US and the UK with a $1,599/£1,699 RRP. The model is also seen in the EU for €1,699, though it is currently out of stock. Given the smaller power pack, this model is $100/£100/€100 cheaper than the X20.
The supposed X20 SE is said to have a 1,000W motor and a triple suspension system, described as a front hydraulic shock, a middle mechanical shock and a rear air shock. The folding 8-speed e-bike also has a Shimano derailleur, hydraulic disc brakes and 20x4.0 inch tires. All of these features align with the original X20 electric bicycle. Whether or not ENGWE will officially announce the X20 SE and reveal further differences compared to its predecessor remains to be seen.
