McLaren has launched its first-ever e-bikes, bringing four models to the market. The electric bicycles are offered with two different motors, with the more powerful variant delivering up to 161 Nm torque. Other features include RockShox suspension, a headlight and an integrated display.

McLaren has announced its debut range of e-bikes, which are now on sale in markets worldwide. The line-up includes four models: the Extreme 600, the Sport 600, the Extreme 250 and the Sport 250. The company suggests its electric bicycles have a high power-to-weight ratio, like the supercars it offers, and more torque than competitor models.

All four McLaren e-bikes are available in countries like the US, but only the less powerful 250 versions are offered in Europe to comply with local regulations. The Extreme 600 and the Sport 600 are powered by a mid-mounted 600W motor with up to 161 Nm torque and five assistance modes. These range from Eco to Race, or you can ride without assistance. The Extreme 250 and the Sport 250 use a 250W mid-drive motor with 121 Nm torque and lack the Race mode. While the 600 e-bikes have a 720 Wh battery, the 250 variants have a 540 Wh power pack.

There are a couple of differences between the Extreme and Sport e-bikes. The Extreme is a full-suspension model with a RockShox Lyrik Rush RC fork and RS Deluxe Select+ shock. This is accompanied by a 12-speed SRAM XX Eagle AXS Transmission. The Sport is a hardtail e-bike with RockShox Pike Rush RC suspension fork alongside the SRAM GX Eagle  12-speed drivetrain.

Other features across all models include SRAM G2 hydraulic disc brakes, Pirelli Scorpion Enduro tires, a headlight and an integrated LCD panel on handlebars showing your speed and range. The e-bikes have a carbon fiber frame featuring a custom design and are available in three sizes, from S to L. Prices for the McLaren e-bikes start at $7,950/€8,400/£7,200 for the Sport 250; you can find a full price list below. It is worth noting that McLaren says that these electric bicycles are only available in limited numbers.
