Egret announces new Ey! 1 powerful e-scooter with up to 65km range
Egret has unveiled the new Ey! e-scooter range. The range includes the Ey! 1, the Ey! 2, the Ey! 3 and the Ey! 6, developed in partnership with Yadea. These are billed as mid-range scooters, with the cheaper Egret Hey! 3 priced at €679.
The Ey! 1 tops the range, powered by a 500W rate motor with 1,512W peak power and up to 40 Nm torque. Users can choose between four assistance levels, including a walk mode, with a top speed of 20 kph (~12 mph). The 679Wh battery allows you to ride for up to 65 km (~40 miles), with the power pack fully recharging in seven or eight hours. A single-sided swing arm with polymer shock absorption and 61mm travel helps to make your ride more comfortable, and a 3-way braking system ensures you stop safely. An LED display shows your current speed and can be used to control the 425-lumen headlight. On top of this, you can view further journey information and settings in the accompanying app.
Other features include a rear brake light, indicators and 10" tubeless pneumatic tires with a self-sealing gel layer. Plus, the scooter can fold to make transporting easier, with the model weighing (~66 lbs). You can now order the Egret Ey! 1 e-scooter for €1,299, with delivery expected in July. The company is based in Germany but ships to EU nations like the Netherlands, France, Spain and Italy. It is unclear whether or when Egret could start selling its new products via Amazon, where it already offers models like the Egret One foldable e-scooter.
