The Decathlon Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD e-bike is now on sale in Europe. The model was shown earlier this year at Velofollies alongside the E-GRVL AF X30 and the E-GRVL AF X35. Decathlon claims that this is its most efficient electric gravel bike yet.
The E-GRVL AF MD has a mid-mounted 250W Brose Drive T Mag motor for up to 70Nm torque. You can choose between four modes with handlebar controls, and a 500Wh battery allows you to ride with assistance for up to 150 km (~240 miles). Decathlon also suggests that the model is versatile, thanks to the combination of DT Swiss HG 1800 Spline wheels with Michelin Power Gravel 700x47 tires and an SRAM Apex 12-speed groupset. Other features include front and rear lights, an optional range extender battery and a color TFT display. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity allows you to view journey information in the Decathlon Ride app.
The product listing suggests that the e-bike’s 6061 aluminum frame with carbon fork will be available in seven sizes. However, only the smaller four, from XS to L, are currently on sale, with stock levels varying by country. The medium-sized model weighs around 18 kg (~40 lbs). You can now buy the Decathlon Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD e-bike in European countries like France, Spain and Italy for €3,499.99. The model is slightly more expensive in the Netherlands, with an RRP of €3,549.99, and will retail for £3,499.99 in the UK, though it is currently out of stock here.
