ARM PCs are quite the trend these days following Microsoft's Copilot+ PC announcements last month and Asus does not want to be left behind. Apart from Ryzen AI 300 Zen 5-powered ProArt P16 and the ProArt PX13, Asus is also launching a Snapdragon version, the ProArt PZ13 HT5306.
The ProArt PZ13 is a detachable tablet aimed at mobile creatives who prioritize portability. Accordingly, the PZ13 weighs just 0.85 kg while being just 9 mm (0.35 inches) thick. The ProArt PZ13's chassis is IP52-rated with rubber covers for dust and water resistance. The chassis also has a cut out to help with inward airflow.
Like the PX13, the PZ13 also sports a 13-inch 3K Asus Lumina OLED touch panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and 500 nits brightness. Asus does not mention the exact Snapdragon SKU being used, but specifies the total TDP to be 20 W. The device can be configured with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
With Qualcomm not exactly being gung-ho about the TDPs of either the Snapdragon X1 Elite X1E-80-100 or the Snapdragon X1 Plus X1P-64-100, how performant will the 20 W TDP be is anybody's guess at this point. It is also not clear in which power profile is this TDP applicable.
On the connectivity front, unlike the other ProArt notebooks we've seen, the ProArt PZ13 comes with just 2x USB4 40 Gbps Type-C ports along with an SD Express 7 card reader and Wi-Fi 7 networking. Additionally, there's a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP IR front camera that supports Windows Hello biometric logins.
Asus is offering a comprehensive set of accessories to go with the ProArt PZ13 including a backpack, stylus, and a cover stand. Unlike the ProArt P16 and ProArt PX13, Asus does not offer the Muse Tree app or complimentary CapCut and Adobe subscriptions but includes Story Cube.
Pricing and availability information will be known at a later date.
