Acemagic X1 debuts as "world's first" 360-degree dual-screen laptop
Acemagic showcased a dual-screen laptop back in Computex 2024, which was supposed to be called Z1A. However, as the company has detailed today, it's called Acemagic X1 instead. In addition to this, we got to know the exact specs of the laptop.
While the previous unveiling hinted that there would be two different variants, Acemagic has only unveiled one today. It comes with the Intel Core i7 1255U, an efficiency-focused Alder Lake processor from 2022. The other variant that was in talks at Computex 2024 was supposed to feature the Core i7 1265U.
However, the main highlight of the Acemagic X1 is the two screens. This isn't the first laptop to feature dual screens, though. For example, there's the Lenovo Yoga Book and Asus Zenbook Duo (available on Amazon). But those are convertibles, and for others, the secondary screen tends not to be the same size as the main screen.
The X1, on the other hand, features "a unique 360-degree horizontal" dual-screen design. These are 14-inch displays that feature FHD resolutions. Acemagic says that the design is mainly for "mobile business operations," which makes sense given that it's not the most capable Intel laptop out there.
As for the other specs, the Acemagic X1 pairs the Core i7 CPU with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. There are a good number of ports as well, including two USB Type-C, one USB 3.0, and one HDMI 2.0. The company hasn't shared details on pricing and availability yet.
