SZBOX releases new 14-inch 2-in-1 with AMD Ryzen APU as MINISFORUM V3 lookalike
SZBOX has released a few new devices of late, including the S7 mini-PC. Now, it has turned its attention to rivalling the MINISFORUM V3 and Surface Pro 11 (curr. $989 on Amazon), albeit at a significantly lower price point. Arguably, SZBOX's 2-in-1 is more comparable with the MINISFORUM V3 because of its 14-inch display and AMD APU. However, the former will also be less powerful than the latter.
Specifically, SZBOX equips its effort with the Ryzen 3 7320U that AMD announced almost two years ago. Part of the Mendocino-U series, the Ryzen 3 7320U only has four Zen 2 CPU cores and a Radeon 610M iGPU with a pair of RDNA 2 Compute Units (CUs) at its disposal. Consequently, the Ryzen 3 7320U and Radeon 610M will be unsuitable for most modern games.
Moreover, SZBOX also includes a 45.6 Wh battery, which powers a 14-inch IPS panel that outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the 311.1 x 235.1 x 10.7 mm device integrates LPDDR5 RAM, M.2 2242 SSDs and a pair of USB Type-C ports. Currently, SZBOX sells its 2-in-1 for approximately $371 with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage before factoring in import taxes. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether the device ships with the detachable keyboard accessory pictured above.
