GPD Duo: Pre-orders for innovative dual-display laptop open globally through popular reseller
Earlier this week, GPD announced launch pricing for the Duo, its next laptop release alongside the Pocket 4. While the company may have revealed how much it plans to charge for its Lenovo Yoga Book 9i or ASUS Zenbook Duo (curr. $1,395.99 on Amazon) competitor, it has not confirmed when the device will be available to purchase.
In the meantime, Minixpc has started taking pre-orders worldwide for only slightly more than GPD's early bird offers. Specifically Minixpc has priced the Duo's entry-level SKU at $1,399.99, which comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, compared to the $1,270 early bird and $1,425 MSRP pricing that GPD plans to charge for the same model.

By contrast, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD is only $50 more expensive through Minixpc than it will be on Indiegogo. Similarly, the machine's 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage option can be pre-ordered on Minixpc for $1,899.99, which represents a $39 surcharge over GPD's Indiegogo pricing. As it stands, Minixpc has not outlined when it will begin shipping GPD Duo pre-orders. However, we imagine it will do so once GPD kicks off its Indiegogo campaign.
For reference, the GPD Duo has two 13.3-inch OLED displays, each with a 2.8K resolution (2,880 x 1,800), 500 nits peak brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, GPD equips all SKUs with LPDDR5x-7500 RAM, an 80 Wh battery and a pair of M.2 2280 slots. Additionally, the Duo contains modern ports like USB 4 and OCuLink, among others.
