Powered by AMD Zen 4 and Zen 5 processors, SKUs will be available ranging from $895 to $1,466, with features like an 8.8-inch 2.5K 144Hz display, up to 64GB of RAM, and optional accessories for enhanced connectivity. If the crowdfunding campaign succeeds, the device is expected to launch by the end of the year.

GPD has finally revealed the pricing for its highly anticipated Pocket 4 mini laptop, which combines handheld, laptop, and tablet functionality in a compact 770g device. The pricing ranges from $895 for the base model to $1,466 for the top-tier configuration.

The GPD Pocket 4 features a physical keyboard, a touch screen, and a touchpad. The device uses AMD’s Zen 4 (Hawk Point) and Zen 5 (Strix Point) processors, with different RAM and SSD configurations targeting various price points.

  • The entry-level Pocket 4 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor featuring eight Zen 4 cores and Radeon 780M graphics, paired with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. During the IGG crowdfunding campaign, this model will be available at a discounted price of $829.
  • The mid-range option, priced at $1,157, upgrades to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 365 processor with 10 Zen 5 cores and Radeon 880M graphics, alongside 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD.
  • The flagship configuration, priced at $1,466, boasts the powerful Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with 12 Zen 5 cores and Radeon 890M graphics. It offers up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, with an additional 4TB storage option available for users with greater needs.

All models share the same core specifications, including an 8.8-inch 2.5K 144Hz display with 97% DCI-P3 color gamut and 500 nits brightness. The device features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, memory speeds reaching 7,500 MT/s, and a TDP set at 28W.

For additional functionality, GPD offers optional accessories: a $20 EIA RS-232 module for legacy device support and a $125 4G LTE module for mobile connectivity. While the device lacks an OCuLink port, external GPU support is possible through USB4.

GPD has not yet announced an official release date, but if the crowdfunding campaign proceeds as planned, the Pocket 4 should be available by the end of this year. So, the GPD Pocket 3, which is well over three years old at this point, will soon have a successor.
