The next instalment in the RG406 series is almost upon us. To date, Anbernic has only released the RG406V (curr. $229.99 on Amazon). Specifically, the company has now confirmed not only the launch date for the RG406H but also its initial pricing.
Specifically, Anbernic's latest entry in the RG406 series will be available from 10:00 UTC on November 19. As is often the case, the company will be offering an initial launch promotion, which will last until November 22 at 10:00 UTC. However, this $10 discount only amounts to a 6% reduction on the RG406H's cheapest SKUs.
In other words, the RG406H will start at $157.99 in black, white and transparent purple finishes. Alternatively, Anbernic will sell versions with 128 GB and 256 GB MicroSD cards for $172.99 and $187.99, respectively. Ultimately though, the RG406H should offer more or less the same gaming experience as the existing RG406V and Anbernic's other Unisoc T820-based gaming handhelds.
Additionally, the RG406H runs Android 13 on 128 GB of built-in UFS 2.2 flash storage. Moreover, Anbernic has installed 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, a 5,000 mAh battery and Hall effect joysticks. Please see the image below for more hardware details.
