It seems that a new high-end Android gaming handheld is in the works. Although unofficial for now, NITTRX has revealed a few details about what they describe as the 'MARK1'.
Ultimately, the Mark1 follows the layout of the RG406H that Anbernic officially announced earlier this week. However, the inclusion of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset should see it sit somewhere between the Retroid Pocket 5 and AYN Odin2 (curr. $449 on Amazon) in terms of performance.
Moreover, the Mark1 has a 4:3 display that is said to span 4.8-inches across. Surprisingly, the compact panel is recessed within the Mark1's body, which NITTRX reports is a CNCed piece of aluminium.
On top of that, the Mark1 has a full array of gamepad buttons, a top-mounted USB Type-C port and what appears to be a single MicroSD card reader. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, including a release date and who actually produces the device. With that being said, the information shown on the Mark1's display all points to it being a repurposed Motorola smartphone of some kind.
