One-Netbook has recently opened pre-orders for its new OneXFly F1 Pro. It's the first gaming handheld that features the AMD Strix Point APUs. More specifically, it's available with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and AI 9 365. The most notable difference between the two is the iGPU.
While the former comes with the Radeon 890M, the latter has the Radeon 880M. Both are more capable than the last-gen Radeon 780M, and One-Netbook has just showcased how well the two RDNA 3.5 iGPUs can perform on its latest side-by-side comparison with the ROG Ally X.
The company has tested two games at different TDPs, and on average, the OneXFly F1 Pro can offer 20% better performance compared to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme-equipped ROG Ally X (Legion Go curr. $549 on Amazon). One of the highlights from the comparison is how well the lower-end Ryzen AI 9 365 handheld fares at 15W.
In Black Myth: Wukong, the base Strix Point gaming handheld had an average FPS of 58, while the ROG Ally X had an average of 50 FPS. Worth noting that the game was benchmarked at 1080p low, and both the handhelds were set to the 15W TDP mode. The FPS difference was similar in 20W and 25W modes.
Cyberpunk 2077 was also tested at 15W. At 1080p low, the Ryzen AI 9 365-equipped F1 Pro averaged at 43.47 FPS, while the ROG Ally X averaged at 35.07 FPS. Again, the difference was similar in 20W, 25W, and 30W TDP modes. You can learn more about how these two gaming handhelds compare in the video attached below.
